The Dread & The Woe
04:02
|
|||
Midnight air clings cold and damp
Moonless night like a smothered lamp
Mist hangs like an old used noose
Dark words from ancient scrolls
Lunar witch fights for control
Fall defeated shaken to her core
Feel the freezing wind blow
Feel the heart start to slow
Feel the blood cease its flow
Feel the Dread & The Woe
Rites played out every night
Where even the fearless tread light
Dark Shadows await you and I
One last gasp and one final sigh
The Dark Mistress with on last try
Pulls you back from the brink
Feel the freezing wind blow
Feel the heart start to slow
Feel the blood cease its flow
Feel the Dread & The Woe
So when the suns fades from the sky
And you fall and close your eyes
Shes's there in your nightmares and dreams
As I fall into this cold grave
Must not tremble must be brave
Daughter Earth Mother Moon
Feel the freezing wind blow
Feel the heart start to slow
Feel the blood cease its flow
Feel the Dread & The Woe

Jon Barrow
04:10
|
|||
In rural town just up the coast dwells the Ghost of Jon Barrow
The tale is told how he sold his soul, sold it to the Devil
Jon met a man a wily man with pockets full of silver
With a wishful sigh and a greedy eye his mind it got to thinking
Now on a cold and windswept night the plan it was quite simple
Get him drunk, send him out, hide, jump up and end him
But the Devils in the details
The Devil looks after his own
But the Devils in the details
The coin was a Devil's loan
Jon crept ahead, crouched down low waiting on the footsteps
T'was a cloven hoof that came that way looking in the moonlight
Jon jumped then club in hand but the Devil stared him down
"If its silver you want then deal with me, but you'll never leave this town
Jon made his fortune that very night and died a wealthy man
But his ghost still roams and haunts and moans 'cause He'll never leave that land
But the Devils in the details
The Devil looks after his own
But the Devils in the details
The coin was a Devil's loan
But the Devils in the details
The Devil looks after his own
But the Devils in the details
The coin was a Devil's loan

The Depths
02:56
|
|||
Reach from the depths
The ocean depths
And grab another soul
Reach from the depths
The deepest depths
And grab another soul
Reach from the depths
The darkest depths
And grab another soul
Reach from the depths
The briny depths
And grab another soul
Reach from the depths
The dismal depths
And grab another soul
Reach from the depths
The coal black depths
And grab another soul
Reach from the depths
The murky depths
And grab another soul
Reach from the depths
The dreadful depths
And grab another soul
Reach from the depths
The wicked depths
And grab another soul
Reach from the depths
The grasping depths
And grab another soul
Reach from the depths
The ocean depths
And grab another soul

And The Bones
04:40
|
|||
Stone Kings and lost Gods bear witness
Wilted flowers left forgotten alone
Mounds of earth, dirt and loam
The tired cry's chill the bone
The tired cry's chill the bone
Broken bell tolls for broken souls
The toiler starts his chant
watching waiting the'll come
No time to recant
No time to recant
Finally given to earth embrace
Silent company for the crows
Stone to mark your last rest
Just echoes in the forest
Just echoes in the forest
Lonely Angels watch quiet graves
Never free to wander or roam
The final sorrow wail and raves
Tends the fetid and the bones
Tends the fetid and the bones
And the bones

From The Sea
03:12
|
|||
It came from the sea
Slowly follows me
It rides with the night
Disappears with dawns light
It came from the sea
Tales of woe follow me
Night terrors stolen dreams
Midnight stolen screams
It came from the sea
It aches to be free
Bad company it craves
Slips back to its water grave
It came from the sea
Hear it's silent plea
Wants eternal rest
Death to the awful test
It came from the sea
and it follows me
It came from the sea
and it follows me
It came from the sea
It came from the sea

Dolores
05:07
|
|||
Time was up for Dolores Ward no more cures for village folk
never hexing, jinxing or fixing things she never should have spoke
she had spied a large bonfire built up with a gallows pole
and rightly guessed her hour had come so away she quickly stole.
Dolores Dolores
Hiding amongst the Ash and Oak jumps at every sound
she could hear the menfolk after her, her heart it pound and pound
she led them a merry dance that day and turned them back around
using all her craftiness she led them back to town.
Dolores Dolores
She rung the mighty church bell the men all gathered there
with wicked thoughts she tricked them in they didn't stand a prayer
a lock was fashioned for the door and tinder placed around
fire was struck screams did sound the church burnt to the ground.
Dolores Dolores
To this day the gallows noose and would be pyre still stand
a reminder that the crafty crone never could be found
the children sing and call her name a ghost in all the glades
her spirit haunts the forest Dolores never fades.

Broken Crown
07:01
|
|||
When the righteous fury struck
The hapless one were out of luck
A wind of death ripped all around
A shattered crown left on the ground
A darkness sweeps across the land
Laying waste to all that stand
Destroying forest, field and town
And in its wake a broken crown
Broken crown
Lost empires now ruled by ghosts
Broken swords a beaten host
The fallen King to rule all men
A broken crown falls at the end
As the palace crumbles and light fades
Hidden rooms where plans were made
They lie empty and devoid of life
Dust motes dancing in half light
Broken crown
Throne is free of the mortal ebb
Host now to a spiders web
Ghostly memories to rule the land
Guided by the long dead hand
Dusty light creeps through broken panes
Nothing seen as dusk now wanes
Ghostly bellows echo still
Nothing left just time to kill
Broken crown
No one left to speak the lore's
The unused rooms and corridors
The blackest moon still burns bright
The chosen start their weary flight
The colours muted air taste dead
The twilight and the gloaming wed
Lonely wraith stares and frowns
At the empty throne and broken crown
Broken crown
